TMJ Pain

TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) pain affects the joint that connects your jaw to the skull, located just in front of your ears. It can cause discomfort while speaking, chewing, or even opening and closing your mouth. TMJ pain may result from jaw injury, teeth grinding (bruxism), stress, arthritis, or misalignment of the jaw. If ignored, it can lead to chronic pain and difficulty in daily activities like eating and talking.

Causes of TMJ Pain
  • Teeth grinding or clenching (especially during sleep)
  • Jaw injury or trauma
  • Arthritis affecting the jaw joint
Common Symptoms
  • Pain or tenderness in the jaw and around the ear
  • Difficulty or discomfort while chewing
  • Clicking, popping, or locking of the jaw movement
